MEF: Impulso MyPerú has disbursed S/377 million for 15,243 beneficiaries

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contrerasindicated that, to date, some 51,695 micro and small businesses (mypes) have been assisted to receive a loan from the Business Impulse Program – MyPerú.

In his weekly program, the head of the MEF mentioned that the amount allocated to these companies amounts to S/1,013 million, of which a third part has already been disbursed. It should be noted that Impuls MyPerú seeks to place credits for more than S/ 3,000 million.

“Of these S/1,013 million already approved and ready to be disbursed, S/377 million have already been disbursed. Around S/700 million will be disbursed in the following days,” the minister guaranteed.

In this sense, Contreras Miranda said that with these S/377 million disbursed, 15,243 mypes from different sectors, such as commerce, manufacturing, and services, have benefited.

“20% have requested credits with the objective of investing and buying fixed assets. The other 44.5% have requested credit to buy working capital, such as flour in a bakery or leather in a shoe store,” he reported on his live MEF program.

Finally, 35.1% have applied for a loan from Impulso MyPerú in order to consolidate their debts, get a better rate and have more time to pay off their debts.

“This program is helping to boost investment, attracting working capital by financing fixed assets but also moderating the debt burden […] In case these S/3,000 million are not enough, we will announce an expansion of the program,” he said.
