The State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation corrected the draft law on liability for non-fulfillment by citizens, officials and legal entities of military registration duties. This became known from the amendments to the second reading of the bill published in the database of the State Duma.

The maximum fine for a citizen for failing to appear at the military registration and enlistment office at the time and place specified in the agenda without a good reason was proposed to establish a fine in the amount of 40 thousand to 50 thousand rubles, but now it can be reduced to 10-30 thousand rubles.

Recall that at the moment, according to Article 21.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia, for failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment offices on the agenda without a good reason, you can get a fine in the amount of 500 to 3 thousand rubles.

In addition, the new option provides for a fine of 10-20 thousand rubles for failure to notify the military registration and enlistment office of a change in marital status, education, change of job, study, position or place of residence. At present, there is no liability for a citizen’s failure to report information about his place of residence to the military commissariat.

It is assumed that the State Duma deputies will consider the draft law in the second reading at a meeting on Tuesday, July 25.
