Jesús Baldeón is the new Vice Minister of Employment Promotion

The lawyer Jesús Baldeón Vásquez has been general director of the General Office of Cooperation and International Affairs, and also advisor to the MTPE.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) appointed Jesús Baldeón as the new Vice Minister of Employment Promotion and Job Training.

Through supreme resolution 019-2023-TR, the MTPE selects Baldeón Vásquez to fill the position of Violeta Leyva, who resigned three weeks ago.

Baldeón Vásquez is a lawyer and economist from the Technological University of Peru (UTP) and the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University, respectively.

He has been director general of the General Office for Cooperation and International Affairs and also adviser to the PETM.

Likewise, he has served as director of the Legal Advice office of the Metropolitan Solidarity System (SISOL). In May 2022, he resigned from the leadership of Sunafil.

The document bears the signature of President Dina Boluarte and the Minister of Labor, Antonio Varela.
