After an almost 50% increase in visits -more than 400,000-, compared to the last CyberDay 2022, recorded by companies that participated in the first event of 2023 last April, The Ecuadorian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CECE) has announced the second edition of CyberDay: it will be from July 31 to August 2, when more than 40 companies will participate again with the goal of exceeding 500,000 visits, according to Leonardo Ottati, president of the union.
The activity will start via www.cyberday.ec from 00:00 on Monday, July 31 and will be open until 23:59 on August 2.
Digital consumers will be able to find products that will be classified into different categories and services, such as appliances, home, technology, fashion, health, beauty, among others.

Ottati highlighted the growth of the digital channel and the constant improvements that companies make to their offerings. “Every day more and more customers have adopted the digital channel as their preferred channel; and if you add to that the promotions and financing plans of the most representative companies in the sector, the economic effect is even greater,” said Ottati.
He also assured that participating brands guarantee the security and proper functioning of their websites, guaranteeing a good shopping experience for customers.
The president of CECE reminded that during the first CyberDay held in April, the six preferred categories of digital consumers were technology, electronics, home, sports, fashion and tourism.
Meanwhile, in general, in 2022 approximately $4,000 million was generated by e-commerce sales in Ecuador. In 2021, e-commerce generated $3.2 billion, in 2020 – the year of the pandemic – $2.3 billion, and $1.5 billion in 2019. For 2023, the projection is that the year will close with sales of $5 billion on the line.

This initiative has the support of the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries and the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society, as well as the Chamber of Commerce of Portoviejo and the University of Espíritu Santo.
In addition, the Ecuadorian Association of Express Messages and Courier Companies, the Association of Home Appliance Stores of Ecuador, Datta Business Innovation, De Prati, Vtex, among others.
Among the companies that will participate in the event are Tienda Mía, Movistar, Créditos Económicos, De Prati, Almacenes TIA, Etafashion, TVentas, Artefacta, Equair, AgriShop, Orocash, Electrolux, , Moda RM , XTrim TV Cable, Simmons, Despegar , Nuvei, Marcimex, Carestino, among other brands that will have distribution numbers during the day.
