The Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión) reported that it presentedor 52 public-private partnership (PPP) plans and projects with assets of US$9,000 million during the PPP Americas 2023 Regional Forum, organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Government of Panama.
Likewise, 40 projects were presented for more than US$6.5 billion by 2024 for industries such as electricity transmission, transportation, sanitation, health, and education, among others.
It should be noted that Gastón Astesiano, head of the PPP team in the IDB Vice Presidency for Countries, revealed that Peru could be selected as the venue for the 2025 PPP Americas Regional Forum.
The presentations of the investment portfolio in Peru were given by Luis Carpio, leader of the Special Projects Department, and Emerson Castro, head of the Project Portfolio Department at ProInversión.
