The automotive sector was the one where Petroecuador shipped the most fuel in the first half of 2023, from January to June, from its clean products terminals and refineries, across the country. This was reported by the state company, which stated that out of 1,813,596,451 gallons of liquid fuels obtained from oil in the entire national territory, the automotive industry received 1,132,944,609.
The remaining amount, more than 600 million, is distributed in six sectors, according to data from the state oil company.

The state company also stated in its report that 646,324,308 kilograms of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) were intended for household, industry, vehicle and agro-industry needs.

Petroecuador distributes fuel from nine clean product terminals located in Quito, Ambat, Riobamba, Cuenca, La Troncal, Santo Domingo, Pascuales, La Libertad and Manta.
It also has two warehouses for clean products in Catamay and Baltra. As well as three refineries from which products are shipped to La Libertad, Esmeraldas and Shushufindi.
While LPG is shipped from the El Chorrillo, La Troncal, Oyambaro, Monteverde terminals and from the Esmeraldas, Shushufindi and La Libertad refineries.
