He Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) approved a transfer of items in the Public Sector Budget in favor of a regional government and twenty-six local governments for more than S/ 24 million.
Supreme Decree No. 152-2023-EF seeks to finance forty-two interventions prioritized in Act No. 31 of the Multisectoral Commission of the Fund for interventions in the event of natural disasters (Fondes).
The transferred resources will allow the regional government and the local governments of the departments of Pasco, Amazonas, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Huancavelica, Junín, San Martin and Ucayali to finance forty-two interventions prioritized by the Multisectoral Commission of the Funds.
Among the prioritized projects, there are five investment works that protect the population, goods and public services that are exposed to hydrometeorological hazards (floods).
Also thirty optimization investments, marginal expansion, replacement and rehabilitation (IOARR) of emergency, whose execution allows to protect and rehabilitate the education infrastructure before an imminent danger and post-disaster, the attention to the rural and urban water and sanitation service, the rehabilitation of the Irrigation Infrastructure and the rehabilitation of protection services.
Finally, seven emergency activities are considered whose execution allows the cleaning and clearing of riverbeds, river defenses, drainage systems and irrigation canals, and carrying out basic sanitation and solid waste control measures, due to the impact of damage from intense rainfall. rainwater, as well as in the face of imminent danger from this phenomenon in the departments of Pasco, Amazonas, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Huancavelica, Junín, San Martin and Ucayali.
It should be noted that, according to the document presented today by the MEF, said transfers were made from the resources of the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci).
