There will be 80,000 euros for sale in 64 establishments of 8,700 vouchers, of which 2,700 will be for cultural products in Basque and the rest for Spanish and other languages. The campaign will end on January 29.
From this Friday, the people of Gipuzkoa will be able to acquire the culture vouchers with which the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa intends to promote the habit of reading and, at the same time, strengthen the commercial and distribution network of cultural products in the territory.
This year, the figures for December 2020 are maintained, so that the provincial entity re-allocates 80,000 euros for sale in 64 stores of 8,700 vouchers, of which 2,700 will be for cultural products in Basque and the rest for Spanish and other languages.
Identical bonuses have also been established: 12 euros for a purchase greater than 20 for products in Basque, that they will once again have special support, and 8 for Spanish.
The acquisition period does vary, since last year the campaign was extended until April 30 and this time the January 29.
It’s about the eighth call of the culture voucher, an initiative that was launched in 2015 and that, in 2020, in addition to the ordinary edition, had an extraordinary one in summer to encourage the consumption of literature, music and cinema after the impact generated in the sector by the Covid-19 crisis.
The provincial deputy for Culture, Harkaitz Millán, and the president of the Gipuzkoa Booksellers Guild, Adolfo López Chocarro, presented the new campaign this Wednesday at a press conference.
