The Executive authorized, through Emergency Decree No. 026-2023, the strategy called “Seed capital – recycle safe”. This includes extraordinary measures for the granting of an economic subsidy of S/900 in favor of older people who are formal recyclers, in order to guarantee that they carry out their tasks with the appropriate equipment and supplies.
In this sense, the Ministry of the Environment (Minam) has 10 calendar days, after the entry into force of the norm, to approve the strategy for the delivery of the economic subsidy and the corresponding operational and management provisions.
Who will be benefited?
According to the decree, the beneficiaries will be those registered in the Final Register of Recyclers (PFR), which will be approved and published by the Minam within a period of no more than 30 days.
It should be noted that this will be approved considering the Single List of Formal Recyclers, which collects the data of employees registered in the National Registry of Recyclers until May 31, 2023.
After the Register of Recyclers has been approved, the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis), through the National Solidarity Assistance Program Pensión 65, will be in charge of making the transfers of funds, as well as establishing the mechanisms and criteria selection of companies in the financial system, such as Banco Nacional, which carry out the opening of accounts and the subsequent deposit.
