Maranta is wasted in the eyes? Many people make the same mistake. Avoid it and the leaves will be lush and healthy

Arrowroot is a plant originating from South America, but it is also willingly grown in Polish homes. How to care for it so that it grows healthy? We suggest.

Maranta is an extremely beautiful plant with characteristically colored leaves. However, it is difficult to grow, so novice gardeners may have trouble keeping it in good condition. We suggest one rule that is worth following in order for the plant to grow luxuriantly and healthily.

What position for arrowroot? Be careful, because the plant has high requirements

Growing arrowroot is not an easy task. The plant is capricious. It naturally grows in humid tropical regions, so to prevent it from drying out, a humidifier for the apartment is useful in its cultivation. However, if we do not want to make such a purchase, we can put pebbles with water on the pot saucers. Arrowroot also needs a lot of diffused light, but it should not be in direct sunlight, as it can get burnt. In spring and summer it requires frequent watering at least 2 to 3 times a week. In the winter period from September to February, it is enough to water it once a week. this one also requires regular fertilization for it to develop properly.

Remember one thing. Otherwise, you can destroy the plant

Arrowroot is an extremely sensitive plant and although it needs fertilization, it should be done in a different way than other potted flowers. Well, the dose of fertilizer for arrowroot should be reduced twice, because the excess can harm it and “burn” the leaves. We fertilize arrowroot in small amounts, once a month from February to September. A universal fertilizer for potted plants will work best.
