An investment of 26 million dollars is estimated and consists of the improvement of the passenger terminal, redesign of the vehicle parking lot, implementation of the emergency operations center and acquisition of equipmentamong others.
In this way, the most important air terminal in Arequipa will be able to improve its capacity and increase its number of flights. In this regard, the general manager of AAP, Raúl Díaz Díaz, in an interview with Andina, highlighted that this project is under evaluation by the MTC and that, if approved within the established deadlines, Construction would start in the last quarter of 2024 and end in early 2026.
