For six days, between July 11 and 16, Guayaquil will be the epicenter of the automotive industry with Autoshow 2023, during which the launch of twenty new vehicle models is planned, of which 12, or 60%, will be electric. The event will bring together more than 50 brands and other players in the automotive sector at the Simón Bolívar Convention Center in Guayaquil.

The tendency to launch new electric models instead of conventional gasoline combustion goes hand in hand with the growth of sales of this segment that includes electrified vehicles.

The technologies that are most in demand are those of mild hybridization (Mild Hybrid) that reach 2732 units.

In addition, vehicles with Extended Range technology, which entered the Ecuadorian market this year, have already reached a sales level of 566 units.

Electrified vehicles also include conventional hybrids (HEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and battery electrics (BEVs).

The Autoshow will be the gateway to more electrified vehicles, adding to the 93 models that have already entered the local market in 2023.
