Demand for smartphone repair in Russia has grown

In Russia, they began to turn to smartphone repair masters more often. This was reported by Avito experts, the material is at the disposal of Lenta.ru.

According to service specialists, in May-June, the demand for smartphone repair increased by 42 percent compared to the same period last year. iPhone repair services were the most frequently searched by users, with a 66 percent increase. Also on Avito, there were 53 percent more ads from service centers and craftsmen who provide services for servicing Apple smartphones.

Also, Russians were more often interested in repairing Android devices. The number of requests related to the repair of Huawei devices increased by 51 percent, Samsung – 25 percent. Interest in Xiaomi and Honor smartphone services, on the contrary, decreased by 18 and 33 percent, respectively.

In addition, Avito analysts noticed that interest in repairing other Apple gadgets has grown. For example, service requests for iPad tablets increased four times, MacBook laptops – by 74 percent.

“In the face of some restrictions in the work of authorized services, consumers are looking for professional qualified assistance in repairing equipment among private specialized centers and craftsmen,” Georgy Hakobyan, director of the Avito Services vertical, commented on the situation on the market.

In March, representatives of service centers reported that Apple had stopped servicing tablets and computers in Russia. The company explained that employees of service centers should offer customers who have encountered problems to contact the store where the equipment was purchased.
