He Ministry of Production has approved allocating more than S/1.3 million to finance innovation and technological improvement of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the country. This measure has been established through Executive Directorate Resolution No. 441-2023-PRODUCE/PROINNOVATE, which has been published this Sunday, July 9, in the Legal Standards Bulletin of the official newspaper El Peruano.
According to the norm, the allocation of subsidies in favor of private individuals and legal entities mentioned in the Sole Annex attached to said Resolution has been approved. These subsidies will be financed through the 2023 Institutional Budget of the Executing Unit 004: National Innovation Program for Competitiveness and Productivity, for a total amount of S/1 million 394,986.87.
This amount is divided as follows: S/1 million 355,756.66 soles come from Resources from Official Credit Operations, S/21,874.99 from Donations and Transfers, and S/17,355.22 from Determined Resources.
The purpose of these resources is to co-finance the projects within the framework of Loan Agreement No. 3700/OC-PE “Improvement of the levels of Productive Innovation at the National level”, of the Research and Development Fund for Competitiveness (FIDECOM), of the Fund MIPYME Entrepreneur and Loan Contract No. 5287/OC-PE “Innovation, Technological Modernization and Entrepreneurship Program”.
The legal provision establishes that these resources are used to co-finance the projects mentioned below: i) Startup Peru PLUG-Attraction of Foreign Entrepreneurs (AEE), ii) Startup Peru PLUG-Attraction of Foreign Entrepreneurs (INS), iii) Incubators 2.0 ( FAIF), iv) Validation and packaging of Innovations (PVE), v) Validation and packaging of Innovations-Innovate to Reactivate (PVER), vi) Internationalization Support Program Modality II-Export Enhancement (PAIM2), vii) Internationalization Support Program Modality 3-Consolidation of Export Activity (PAIM3), viii) Business Emergency Program – Quality MIPYMES (EEMC), ix) Reactivated MYPES Projects Alternative 1 – PEE (EER1), x) Innovation Projects Business – Category 2 – Individual (PIEC2), xi) Seed Capital for Innovative Enterprises (EIN), and xii) Technological Modernization and Entrepreneurship Innovation Program-Digital MIPYMES (IMTEMD) and Technological Modernization and Entrepreneurship Innovation Program-Quality MIPYMES ( IMTEMC).
The resolution bears the signature of the executive director of the National Program for Technological Development and Innovation (ProInnóvate), Alejandro Afuso Higa.
