Last Monday, the head of the Ministry of Production (Produce), Raúl Pérez Reyes, signed an act of commitment with a group of unions and natural persons, but this was not recognized by the National Front for the Defense of Mype (Fredemype). , since the document does not contain the main agreements agreed with the minister in previous dialoguesso they sue the president Dina Boluarte his “relief” in office.
“We do not recognize the minutes proposed by Produce as valid since it does not address in its real dimension what was discussed during the different meetings held previously, nor does it consider the commitments assumed by Minister Pérez Reyes in the May 5 meeting that should be carried out to June 30 of the present,” the union said.
The text contains 54 signatures of natural persons and a group of unions, which does not reach 50% of the 130 union representatives who met with the minister on June 30, according to Fredemype.
For his part, the head of Produce admitted that there were some delays of the portfolio that he directs and of the Ministry of the Interior (Mininter), with respect to the Compras MyPerú program, For this reason, they proposed some milestones and solutions on the subject that were reflected in the minutes, he explained in an interview with TV Peru. He added that almost 70 unions in the textile sector signed this document.
“There is a group of leaders who have not signed the act because they want other issues to be added. We have said no, that only the issues that were the reason for the meeting last week will be signed,” said Pérez Reyes.
The minister explained that the document set deadlines for the approval of the files, the delivery of information by the Technological Institute of Production (ITP) on the technical sheets and all the documentation for the purchasing process.
“The idea is to set dates, tomorrow (Tuesday, July 4) the ITP document arrives, today we are pre-approving the technical files, on Wednesday or Thursday we should approve the following files and we agree to meet on Monday the 10th to follow up on the commitments that the ministry contracts so that this process is not delayed,” he explained.
As recalled, last Monday, July 3, the mypes held a sit-in in front of Produce to request the start-up of Compras MyPerú, credits through Impulso MyPerú, the publication of the supreme decree that would make the application of safeguards viable, among other economic reactivation measures for the sector. Given the discontent, they will announce other measures to fight in the coming days.
Fact:
- Of the S/1,600 million guarantees of the Impulso Myperú program that Cofide has already auctioned, “not a single new loan has been placed for the sector,” according to Fredemype.
