The Congress of the Republic promulgated Law No. 31365, Public Sector Budget Law for Fiscal Year 2022, approved last Friday, November 26.
The annual budget of expenses for fiscal year 2022 is 197,002 million 269 thousand 014 soles, which includes maximum budget credits corresponding to the budget specifications of the national, regional and local governments grouped in the central government and decentralized instances.
In the plenary session on Friday, the Financial Equilibrium bills were also approved, which achieved a vote of 117 in favor, one against and seven abstentions; and Public Sector Debt for Fiscal Year 2022, which was approved with 116 votes, one against and seven abstentions.
The Budget Law for 2022 prioritizes the attention of the sanitary emergency, health, education, the strengthening of agriculture, the alleviation of poverty and productivity.
It should be noted that the public budget for next year, published today in the newspaper El Peruano, represents 7.6% more than that of 2021.
“It has been shown that we can do a concerted and joint work that benefits the entire country, the budget for 2022 is the expression of that collaboration and search for consensus with the different political forces,” said the president of the Council of Ministers, Mirtha Vasquez, at the time.
