ELA calls a day of strike on December 14 in the residences of Bizkaia

After a year and a half and ten meetings, the ELA union has denounced that no steps have been taken in the negotiation of the residence hall in Bizkaia.

The ELA union calls on the workers of the residences of Bizkaia to join the strike called on December 14, to demand an improvement in their working conditions and request an extension of the workforce.

After a year and a half and ten meetings, ELA has denounced that no steps have been taken in the negotiation of the Bizkaia residences agreement and that the employers’ associations and the Biscay council “continue to bet on a negotiation without content”.

In the negotiation of the agreement they demand questions like that workers are replaced from day one, have full-time contracts, or salary and working conditions are equated with IFAS, that the employer does not want to face.

On the other hand, ELA considers that the Provincial Council “continues with its institutional propaganda, but the reality today is that layoffs, the privatization of services, the lack of personnel and part-time contracts, among others, are the a trigger for the lack of quality of care and the workloads suffered by women workers in the sector “.

In this situation, On December 14, the workers of the Residences sector of Bizkaia will concentrate on the 11:30 am in front of the Provincial Council to start the first day of the strike.
