Foreign tourists were mainly from the United States and Argentina. In the case of national tourists, 48.5% were residents of Lima and 9.2% of San Martín. On average, tourists stayed four nights, generating an average cost per person of S/ 544 (domestic tourists) and S/ 930 (foreign tourists). Likewise, 89.2% of visitors planned their trip and 46.2% of visitors searched for information before leaving on their trip.
The most visited tourist places were: The Plaza de Armas (83.0%), Castillo de Lamas (44.8%), La Laguna Azul (39.2%), Ahuashiyacu Waterfall (32.1%), Thermal Baths from San Mateo (25.9%), Rio Tío Yacu (21.2%) and Taytamaki (20.8%).
According to the study, in Pucallpa, 30.7% of those attending the festival were national tourists, 5.1% were foreign tourists and the rest were local residents (64.2%). The main reason for traveling during this holiday was for its landscapes and nature (41.5%), followed by its good gastronomy (37.3%) and the festival of San Juan (22.3%).
Foreign tourists were from Europe (40.0%), South America (33.3%) and North America (26.7%). In the case of national tourists, 37.8% were residents of Lima, 12.2% were from Huánuco and 8.9% from Ucayali.
On average, tourists stayed 4 nights, generating an average cost per person of S/625 (domestic tourists) and S/ 1,196 (foreign tourists). Likewise, 78.2% of visitors planned their trip and 14.5% of visitors searched for information before leaving on their trip.
