Fertiabono: more than 16,000 farmers have not yet received the economic subsidy

The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) reported that there are 16,667 small rural producers nationwide who still do not receive the Fertiabono 1. Farmers can approach Banco de la Nación agencies only until Friday, June 30 to receive this economic subsidy. It should be noted that the total amount that has not been collected amounts to S/21 million 751,917.

To date, Midagri has granted the economic subsidy to more than 307,000 beneficiaries, which represents 95% of farmers from 25 regions, 195 provinces and 1,507 districts of the country. This bonus is granted to producers who own from zero to ten hectares for a maximum of S/389 per hectare with a limit of S/7,447.

The regions benefiting from the economic subsidy are: Amazonas, Áncash, Apurímac, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Callao, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huánuco, Ica, Junín, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Moquegua, Pasco, Piura, Puno, San Martin, Tacna, Tumbes and Ucayali.

What are the requirements to access the Fertiabono?

To access the Fertiabono 1the producers must comply with the following requirements: conduct agricultural units of up to ten hectares and use chemical fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium).

Beneficiaries must also be registered until September 19, 2022 in the Register of Agricultural Producers (PPA)drive one or more products prioritized by Midagri and not be registered in the public sector payroll.
