Indecopi has imposed 2,482 sanctions on air transport companies since 2018

From 2018 to August 2022, Indecopi has imposed 2,482 sanctions, including reprimands and fines to 55 companies in the sector of air Transport. 84.8% of violations are related to inappropriateness, such as failure to service, refund, trip cancellation, late departure, or overcharges.

The majority of sanctions are found in Lima (1,973), in second place is Cusco (135), followed by Arequipa (61) and Piura (57). In this way, the capital concentrated 79.5% of the sanctions and 79.7% of the UIT.
