Cusco: EIA progresses for the Antapaccay-Tintaya Expansion-Coroccohuayco Integration project

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) confirmed the continuity of the work tables with the communities in Espinar, in Cusco, within the framework of the prior consultation regarding the mining project Antapaccay-Tintaya Expansion-Coroccohuayco Integration.

Among the agreements reached, in joint work with the Ministry of Culture, the organization of a multicommunal assembly between January 17 and 21, with the participation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the two previously mentioned ministries, stands out.

The Justice, Health, Economy and Finance, Production, Education, Transportation and Communications and Labor portfolios are also called for that date.

It was also agreed to create a commission between the General Office for Social Management of Minem and the native communities to design the activities that will take place in January.

“On December 1, Minem will reach an addendum proposal to the Prior Consultation plan for its evaluation and approval; and on the 14th of that month a meeting will be held to discuss issues related to the PCM, the Minem and the Minam ”, the institution specified.
