Carla Paola Sosa Vela is the new vice minister of Mype and Industry

Sosa Vela is a lawyer with a professional degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), with more than twenty years of experience in the public sector. She was the general director of Communications Programs and Projects at the MTC.

The lawyer Carla Paola Sosa Vela was appointed by the Executive Power as the new vice minister of Mype and Industry of the Ministry of Production (Produce).

Through supreme resolution No. 013-2023-PRODUCE, the resignation presented by Mr. Javier Enrique Dávila Quevedo in office is also accepted, thanking him for the services rendered. He was there since December 2022.

“The aforementioned official has resigned from the position indicated in the preceding recital, for which reason it is appropriate to accept it; and, designate the person who will perform said position,” the document states.

Sosa Vela is a lawyer with a professional degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, with more than twenty years of experience in the public sector.

He has master’s degrees in both Political Science and Regulation from the PUCP and the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), respectively; as well as specialization courses in communications in Japan, Korea, Spain and the United States.

In the last three years, he has held key positions in public, private and public-private investment, from key spaces such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima. Currently, she was the general director of Communications Programs and Projects of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC).
