S / 210 bond: payment of 250,000 state workers began

After the Executive Branch made official the delivery of a bonus of S / 210 for formal workers in the public and private sector who earn up to S / 2,000, these payments have already begun to be made.

According to the emergency decree that authorizes the granting of this bonus, the first to receive this financial support are public sector workers.

And indeed, Executive sources confirmed to La República that this payment has already been given to some state workers. However, the vast majority of the beneficiaries of this first group would be receiving the bonus in the remainder of November.

In total, 250,000 public sector workers will receive this extraordinary subsidy.

The requirement to receive it – in addition to having a salary less than or equal to S / 2,000 – is that the personnel of the national government and regional government must be registered in the month of October 2021 in the Computer Application for the Centralized Registry of Payrolls and Data from Human Resources of the Public Sector (Airhsp) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

Meanwhile, local government workers must appear on the electronic worksheet (Plame) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE).

Said workers must be under the scope of legislative decrees N ° 276, N ° 728, N ° 1057 and Law N ° 30057. It also reaches the personnel included in the norms that regulate special careers.

And the private sector?

In the case of formal workers in the private sector, the Executive will still have to publish the operating regulations so that the delivery of the S / 210 bond can materialize.

Also, the MTPE must approve the registry of workers who are beneficiaries of the bonus. It is estimated that it will reach more than 3 million 104 thousand people.

The payment for this group will be made in the month of December and will not necessarily be deposited on the same date that the worker receives their remuneration, the palace sources specified.

The person in charge of making the payment is the Social Health Security (Essalud) and it will be through the bank accounts that each worker receives their salary.

In addition, the National bank and the electronic money issuing companies can open accounts, en masse or individually, in the name of the beneficiary workers.

To receive this payment, the worker must be registered in the electronic form in the private company in the months of July, August or September 2021.

Likewise, the same sources specified that even if the worker was registered in those months and is currently no longer working in the company In any case, it will be a beneficiary of state financial support.

It is important to mention that the MTPE must monitor the granting of the extraordinary bonus, with the information provided by Essalud on the disbursements made.

It is worth mentioning that the economic support is an additional income, it is not remunerative, compensatory or pensionable and is not subject to social charges nor is it part of the calculation basis for the determination of any benefit, compensation or other of a similar nature. That is, the S / 210 will be deposited in full.

The resources allocated for the payment of private sector workers amount to S / 615 million 249 thousand.

Public workers excluded

The bond also has exceptions. The workers of the decentralized public organisms of the regional and local governments or of the public companies of the three levels of government will not be beneficiaries.

Nor is it considered the personnel of public companies under the scope of the National Fund for the Financing of State Business Activity (Fonafe), Essalud, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) and the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance and AFP (SBS) . High-ranking or trusted public officials are also excluded.
