In the 23-page document, he outlines specific points about the automatic enrollment from the age of 18, the creation of a minimum pension and, among others, a periodic review to raise the legal retirement age, which is currently 65 for men and women.
According to the proposal, for the purposes of a progressive adjustment, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) must commission an entity of recognized prestige through a public tender to review and evaluate the age of retirement in order to present the modifications in legislative instances.

The study should be based on the longevity conditions registered by the population, the evidence presented by the labor market, as well as the replacement rates projected for the contributory components.
According to the initiative of the Executivesaid review must be done every five years as a maximum period, being the first evaluation from 2026.
