MTC: they will again extend suspension of flights from South Africa until December 31

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) informed that a new extension is coordinated for the suspension of flights from South Africa and that this extension would be carried out until December 31. This measure will be taken due to the appearance of the new variant called omicron due to its epidemiological characteristics.

Through a press release, the MTC recalled that for several months the sector has restricted flights arriving from South Africa as part of the health strategy to contain the spread of COVID-19, which are currently suspended until November 30.

The MTC reported that the first case of the appearance of this variant was reported in South Africa and this extension would be part of the preventive measures that are incumbent upon you to minimize the chances of your arrival in our territory.
