According to Daniel Galdos, commercial manager of manpowergroup, this result provides a net employment trend of +38% for the next three months, a figure 13% higher than that registered in the previous quarter. In addition, among the 41 nations that participate in the study, Peru is positioned as the third country with the best expectations, only behind Costa Rica (43%) and the Netherlands (39%).

More optimism in SMEs
The hiring expectation is greater in small and medium-sized companies, in which 45% and 44% of employers, respectively, estimate increasing their number of workers.
In this regard, Daniel Galdos comments that the forecast of small companies is driven by their greater flexibility to “capitalize on some scenarios that they see in the short term”.
In the case of medium-sized companies, the decision is linked to macro issues, such as the evolution of public investment and the reduction of country risk, complements the ManpowerGroup representative. In micro and large companies, the intention to hire is 41% and 32%, respectively.
Difficulties finding talent
70% of employers in the Peru says he has a hard time finding people with the talent and skills he needs to fill a job position. Globally, the figure reaches 77%, its highest level in 17 years, according to the ManpowerGroup report The New Human Age.
“This is also a post-pandemic product in which the way of working and business modalities have changed. Many have changed the way of doing things and from there we need to be very agile to modify our skills or abilities”, comments Silvana Cárdenas, director of Right Management Latin America at ManpowerGroup.
