The price of dollar closed with a slight rise in the exchange session of this Tuesday, June 13, 2023 and was placed at S / 3.6550. This meant an advance of 0.14% compared to Monday’s close, when it was quoted at S/3.6500, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). So far this year the currency had a variation of -3.99%.
At 1.50 p.m. the green ticket in the parallel market was quoted at S/3.63 for the purchase and S/3.66 for the sale. While the referential exchange rate in the banking market reached S/3,564 for purchase and S/3,745 for sale in the Credit Bank of Peru (BCP).
The index of the dollarwhich measures the US currency against six pairs, fell 0.367% as the interest rate spread fell ahead of a likely rate hike by the European Central Bank on Thursday and possibly the Bank of England next week. The Bank of Japan is expected to maintain its ultra-loose policy after Friday’s meeting.
The euro gained 0.41% to $1.0801, the pound sterling rose 0.73% to $1.2602 and the yen weakened 0.17%. US crude rose 3.92% to $69.75 a barrel and Brent to $74.57, up 3.8% on the day.
