In this sense, the approval of the regulation of the safety and health at work law for construction workers stands out.
“We are the only economic sector that has a regulation. Five protocols for the prevention of health care and the life of workers in different types of work were also approved,” said Luis Villanueva Carbajal, general secretary of the FTCCP and president of the CGTP.
Likewise, historically they have always promoted the training of workers. For example, Sencico was created in 1976 and 1977 at the request of workers and through Conafovicer labor competency certification policies were promoted. In the last year, 23,500 workers certified in these skills have been certified, according to the FTCCP.
Other achievements of the union are the consolidation and strengthening of the FTCCP as a representative organization of workers and the reconquest of the right to retirement after 30 years. “In these 30 years, the federation has never lowered its guard, we have always been suing all the governments that have passed to do justice to this demand,” Villanueva said.
