With 110 votes in favour, the Plenary of Congress of the republic approved, by insistence, the bill that declares June 7 as a national holiday. This, in commemoration of the Day of the Battle of Arica and the Day of the Peruvian Flag.
In this way, now June 7 will be considered a non-working and paid national holiday, which covers all public institutions and entities in the country, as well as the private sector.
