Osiptel confirms two fines to Claro for more than one million soles

The Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel) reported that the appeal filed by América Móvil Perú SAC was declared unfounded, that operates under the Claro trademark in the country, against resolution No. 273-2021-GG and confirmed two fines for a total of S / 1 million 324,400.

On November 10, 2020, the resolution n° 306-2020-GG The payment of 301 UIT by Claro company was resolved, which was ratified by resolution n ° 00273-2021-GG. However, the América Móvil company filed an appeal against it.

According to resolution, the first of these fines would correspond to the company improperly objected 373 portability requests, in the period from January 15 to March 24, 2019, which is considered a very serious infraction, for which you would pay a total of 151 UIT or 664,4000 soles.
