The Congressional Work Commission approved, this Tuesday, June 6, the Bill for dependent and independent workers of digital platforms (18/2021-CR, 667/2021-CR, 842/2021-CR and 1536/2021-CR), which seeks to grant labor rights to motorists and delivery people. It should be noted that this occurs in the context of the protests registered in recent days by Rappi and Pedidos Ya employees.
“What has been approved today establishes clear rules and a labor bond so that workers dependent on these platforms can move to a regime similar to that of DL 728 that allows them to enjoy CTS, vacations, pensions, access to health between others”, said the congresswoman and head of the Labor Commission, Sigrid Bazán.
In addition, he stressed that the norm also reaches independent workers who carry out these activities, who will also have the right to a minimum of regulated rights such as a pension and the right to health.
Now, the proposal must go through the vote of the plenary session of the Congress of the Republic.
