The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) authorized the financial transfer of S/ 468,798,859 million in favor of the Agroperu Fund.
The budget item is intended to granting individual monetary support in favor of agricultural producers who run agricultural units with a total cultivated area of up to 10 hectares and that they use chemical fertilizers based on nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrients for the 2022-2023 agricultural campaign.
Ministerial Resolution No. 0367-2022 – Midagri, published this Sunday in the newspaper El Peruano, states in its recitals that the measure seeks to ensure the development of the current agricultural campaign and reactivate the economy of agricultural producers.
The legal device also determines that the resources of the financial transfer may not be used, under responsibility, for purposes other than those for which they are authorized.
It is also detailed that the General Directorate of Associativity, Financial Services and Insurance is responsible for monitoring, follow-up and compliance with the purposes, physical and financial goals for which this transfer is made.
Finally, it is arranged to notify the ministerial resolution to the General Directorate of Associativity, Financial Services and Insurance, to the General Administration Office of Midagri and to the Agricultural Bank (Agrobanco) for the corresponding actions.
