The Congress of the Republic published the Single Labor Certificate Law (Law No. 31760), the which unifies and replaces the current certificates for young people (Certijoven) and for adults (Certiadulto).
Thus, its objective is to regulate the implementation and access to Single Labor Certificate to facilitate the employability of people over 18 years of age in the formal labor market.
This electronic document contains necessary information for contracting and can be requested free of charge through the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE).
In detail, it has data on the date of electronic issuance, identity data of the applicant, police, criminal and judicial records, academic training, work experience and other information that the Ministry of Labor considers relevant for employability. The applicant may also include a condition of disability.
In order to issue the certificate, the MTPE uses information made available by public entities, which provide facilities for its free and permanent access in the State Interoperability Platform (PIDE).
It should be noted that the Executive Branch must approve the regulation within thirty business days, counted from its publication. Along these lines, with its entry into force, Legislative Decree 1378, which extends accessibility to the Certijoven, and Legislative Decree 1498, which grants accessibility to the Certiadult in the face of the impact of COVID-19, are also repealed.
