An Ecuadorian port managed, for the first time, to enter the world ranking of the Container Port Performance Index 2022 (CPPI), which is prepared and published by the World Bank and S&P Global Market. The port pointed out that it was evaluated together with more than 300 terminals on different continents and pointed out some factors that influenced this result, such as investment in state-of-the-art port infrastructure, the implementation of innovative technologies since its inception, such as scanners and efficient operational practices .

The terminal added to these variables its connection to the main world markets, its privileged geographical position on the west coast of the South Pacific and its expeditious maritime access channel with a depth of 16 meters, which allowed it to accommodate large ships to the maximum. ability.
