The start of the massification of gas in the district of Trujillo is ready

With an investment of two million dollars, the first stage of massification of natural gas will begin in the district of Víctor Larco, province of Trujillo, as announced by the Minister of Energy, Mines and Hydrocarbons, Oscar Vera Gargurevichwho was in town.

“The investment is more than two million dollars and 2,500 families are expected to benefit, about 10,000 people. We are going to continue with stages 2 and 3 with which we hope to reach 5,000 families, which are about 20,000 people in the district”, said Vera Gargurevich. Regarding the shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the minister assured that said problem has already been resolved.

“It is a temporary issue that eventually arises with the issue of waves: the sea sometimes changes and makes it difficult for ships to loadbut soon with the issue of massification, of the southern gas pipeline that we plan to develop in this government, we will probably solve (the supply) because everything will be through pipelines”, explained Vera Gargurevich.

He added that the situation has already been resolved, since the ships are unloading all along the coast. “The other good news is that the north is supplied possibly in a maximum of 15 days, with the Talara refinery producing LPG and that will ensure that the north of the country is permanently supplied,” he mentioned.

Regarding the next interpellation before the Congressaffirmed that he will attend to answer the interpellatory statement. “Of course I will attend. They are faculties that correspond to the congressmen and we are always willing to answer the questions that they consider necessary ”, she pointed out.

For his part, the mayor of Víctor Larco, Enrique León Clement, expressed that his district was again going to be excluded from the massification of domestic gas. “But thanks to this municipal management that has knocked on the minister’s doors and thanks to the support of congressman Segundo Quiroz, elected by Cajamarca, as of November 2023 Víctor Larco will be enjoying natural gas, as appropriate,” said the mayor. .

León Clement said that, initially, the investment will be more than two million dollars, charged to be expanded to two million more dollars.
