The Executive enacted Law 31754, for the protection of the female head of the household in a situation of poverty or extreme poverty, which creates a Register of the Female Head of Householdsystematized and prepared by the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (Mimp), the entity in charge of verifying the situation and issuing the corresponding certification.
The purpose of the device is to protect the female head of household in a situation of poverty or extreme poverty who, regardless of their marital status, financially assumes exclusively and permanently the maintenance and care of their minor or disabled children, or your spouse or partner with a permanent physical or mental disability that does not allow you to fend for yourself.
The State establishes the necessary mechanisms in order to give special protection to the female head of household through the promotion and strengthening of their economic, social, cultural, health and educational rights, and allowing them access to the different programs created by this, that allow him to improve his living conditions and that of his family.
“Under no circumstances will access to education services be denied to the children or dependents of the woman head of the household. Vacancy applications for the children of the woman head of the household to access a public educational center are of preferential attention as long as when the requirements are met. The State guarantees access to assistance services and legal advice to the female head of the household,” the regulation states.
The Executive Power, through its different public policies, designs and executes training plans and programs that are free and flexible in duration, adapted to the time availability of the female head of household, in order to increase their skills and generate networks. of commercial and productive ventures that link it in sustainable, economic and profitable activities.
Mimp is the governing body for the protection of the female head of household, and must establish public policies and the corresponding agreements with regional and local governments, as well as with private companies, necessary for compliance with this law.
