President Pedro Castillo, during the morning of this Friday the 2nd, made reference to the delay in the purchase of fertilizers by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) and called on the head of the portfolio, Andrés Alencastre, to put an end to bureaucratic errors that make it difficult to acquire urea from an international supplier.
“Let’s put an end once and for all to these bureaucratic errors (…) that must correspond to the past and also to the other sectors, to the middle managers of the ministries that are also in charge of the country,” said the president during the ceremony. launching of the new Pelicano vessel.
The head of state also remarked to the head of Midagri that the urea should already have been distributed to agricultural producers. “Minister, the fertilizer must already be in the fields, the farmer, our small farmers, must already be feeling it”he emphasized.
Delivery of the fertibono will be in the coming weeks
In the same line, Castillo stressed that the Executive has just approved the emergency decree for the delivery of a fertibono for farmers with up to 10 hectares of crops.
The president remarked that the delivery of this subsidy will be given under two modalities. “At 100% that goes from S/ 745 to S/ 7,747 and a mixed one that will be delivered from S/ 498 to S/ 2,492″. In addition, he added “that this government subsidy will be effective in the coming weeks.”
“The bond will be independent of the urea purchase process that is underway,” he stressed.
