The Government has had the support of the PSOE (120 votes), Unidos Podemos (34, waiting to replace Alberto Rodríguez’s seat), ERC (13), the PNV (6), EH-Bildu (5), the PDeCAT (4), Más País-Equo (2), Compromís, Nueva Canarias, Teruel Existe and the PRC. The process now goes to the Senate.
The Plenary of Congress approved this Thursday the draft General State Budgets for 2022, the seconds of the Spanish Government of coalition of the PSOE and United We Can, which now go to the Senate to complete its processing after garnering the support of more than half of the Chamber, a loose majority of 188 supports.
And it is that to overcome its decisive votes of its accounts the Government of Spain has had the votes of PSOE (120 votes), United We Can (34, waiting to replace the seat of Alberto Rodríguez), Esquerra Republicana (13), the PNV (6), EH-Collect (5), PDeCAT (4), Más País-Equo (2), Compromís, Nueva Canarias, Teruel Existe and the PRC.
The PP (88), Vox (52), Ciudadanos (9), Junts (4), the CUP (2), have voted against it. UPN (2), Canary Islands Coalition and Asturias Forum, while the BNG, which came to negotiate a budget agreement with the Executive, has finally opted for abstention.
In this way, the Sánchez government has managed to consolidate the majority with which it approved its first budgets and now hopes that a express processing in the Senate allow the accounts to be ready in less than a month and, if there are changes, vote them in Congress at the end of December so that on January 1, in due time and form, they enter into force.
