This Tuesday, the Labor Commission of Congress approved by majority an opinion that promotes the employability of young people who neither study nor work (ninis) through the Chambita Joven subprogram.

PL 3858/2022-CR determines that 10% of the vacancies offered in the State’s temporary employment programs be filled by this group of people.

In detail, it would benefit citizens between the ages of 18 and 29 who do not have higher technical or university studies and who are in a situation of extreme poverty.

Within the text —presented by congressman Javier Padilla (Popular Renewal)—, they warn that 19.1% of Peruvians between the ages of 15 and 29 are ‘ninis’.
