Ayacucho: they warn indefinite stoppage of breach of the Coracora act

The Central Fighting Committee of Ayacucho Sur against environmental pollution stated that an indefinite strike could be reactivated if the Executive does not comply with the act signed in Coracora, which includes the negotiation of the terms and terms of the withdrawal and closure of the four mining units of the basin headwaters.

“We declare that the breach of the act, of Coracora, would immediately activate the indefinite strike that was suspended at the express request of the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo, “they said in a statement.

The document that has the signature of Che Bernaola, president of the organization, indicated that the signed act was an important step for the solution of the environmental mining conflict, after more than 10 years of struggle.

“Mining corporations have positioned themselves on mineral deposits located exactly on the headwaters of the basin with the consequences of serious water contamination,” he adds.
