The reason for the protest is that the application now offers the option of “cheap shipping” to its users. In this way, the distributors can make two or three orders for the payment of only one, according to the Observatorio Plataformas Perú portal.
For example, for two delivery services with an approximate distance of 4.8 km and four stops, the application pays S/4.43 to its delivery drivers.
While, for three orders with six stops at a distance of 5.9 km, the commission is S/9.48.
For this reason, motorists demand fair rates and a more humane treatment by the company. This claim is added to others such as blocks or arbitrary suspensions of accounts that Rappi has been carrying out in recent months.
