Minem transfers S/350 million for massification of natural gas and access to LPG

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) authorized this Friday, May 12, the transfer of S/350 million in favor of the Energy Social Inclusion Fund (FISE). This for attend to the financing of the execution of massification programs that encourage the use of natural gas and that promote access to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

According to the Ministerial Resolution No. 183-2023-MINEM/DM published today, May 12, in El Peruano, of the total, S/60 million 88,710 will be used to increase the number of beneficiaries of the FISE Discount Voucher Program; while S/57 million 125,400 will be aimed at household connections in vulnerable areas.

Likewise, S/183 million 524,640 will be invested in the construction of distribution networks. Meanwhile, S/7 million 581,250 to natural gas connection of hospitals and S/41 million 680,000 to the conversion of vehicles with return.

The norm also indicates that the aforementioned budget item was incorporated into the 2023 public budget through Law No. 31728, which approves supplementary credits for the financing of higher expenses in the framework of economic reactivation, in favor of various government specifications. National, regional governments and local governments.
