The Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), approved the regulations for Law No. 31526, which creates the Housing Rental Bonus for Emergencies (BAE).
In accordance with Supreme Decree No. 008-2022-Housing published today in the newspaper El Peruano, for the preliminary evaluation phase, the MVCS Office of Security and National Defense (OSDN) will have a maximum period of 10 calendar days, since the declaration of the state of emergency, to issue a report recommending the intervention of said ministry with housing solutions.
Once the report is received, the General Directorate of Programs and Projects in Housing and Urbanism (DGPPVU) will draw up the list of potential beneficiaries of the Housing Lease Bonus for Emergencies, among other actions.
For the above, the DGPPVU must take into account the following criteria or requirements:
- That the affected person does not appear in another Field Form 2A: Family Registration of the Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis, with housing with the condition of affected (with slight or moderate damage).
- That the affected party does not hold possession of the collapsed or uninhabitable property as tenant or guardian.
- That the victim is not the owner of another house in the department in which the area declared in a state of emergency is located.
The first collection of the BAE will be made from the business day following receipt of the list of potential beneficiaries by the Banco de la Nación. From the second month, the payment will be from the first business day of each month until the last business day of the same.
It should be noted that it is estimated that, in total, there will be 2,596 beneficiary families who will be given a monthly bonus of S / 500 for two years. Exactly, a budget of S/ 31.1 million would be allocated for financial support.
