Igor Kwiatkowski commented on Robert Motyka’s words. “It was time to get a grip”

and Igor Kwiatkowski as Paranienormalni made their debut on the Polish scene in 2004, gaining crowds of loyal fans almost immediately. Despite the unflagging popularity, one of the co-founders of the group decided to start a solo career after 13 years of cooperation. This created a rift and put a strain on their friendship.

Robert Motyka was a guest of the “Dzień Dobry TVN” program. In an honest conversation with Dorota Wellman, he talked about private problems, but also returned with his memories to the beginnings of the Paranormal. He revealed that the cabaret was a huge part of his life, so when he found out that Igor Kwiatkowski was leaving the group, he was shocked. He confessed that his colleague’s decision was incomprehensible to him, because the comedians had planned projects that ultimately never came to fruition. — With my friend Igor we experienced successes and tragedies. (…) Suddenly in January 2017, my friend says that he is leaving this project and will now pursue a solo career. (…) We had plans together, and in January it turned out that this was the end – clearly embittered cabaret artist, adding that he could not accept this situation for a long time and decided to seek help from a psychologist.

The words caused quite a stir in the media. Fans were shocked to learn that the original line-up of the group broke up in such an unpleasant atmosphere. Also Igor Kwiatkowski did not remain indifferent to these arguments. The cabareciarz published an entry on Instagram in which he referred to his colleague’s allegations and revealed how the situation was from his perspective:

I told my friends about my decision. I didn’t leave anyone out in the cold. It was time to get financially organized and decide what to do next. (…) Robert knows all the reasons, he just doesn’t want to accept them. (…) I wish Robert all his professional dreams come true, because then there is a chance that he will leave me alone and get away

The next day, he spoke again, but this time he turned to fans who sharply criticized his public scuffles with his former colleague. Kwiatkowski expressed remorse, admitting that he unnecessarily got into this media discussion, for which he apologized. This post was also deleted after a few hours.
