Sunafil issued more than 10,000 infringement certificates to companies that failed to pay CTS

The National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (sunafil) reported that from 2022 to date it has issued a total of 10,289 infractions for failure to deposit Compensation for Time of Service (CTS) by companies.

The entity explained that for this it carried out 20,213 inspections, in which 96% were attention to the complaints made by the workers themselves against the organizations where they work.

In this sense, Sunafil reminded employers that next Monday, May 15, is the last day for them to deposit the CTS, corresponding to the period November 2022 – April 2023.

Likewise, he stressed that depositing the CTS in a financial entity other than the one chosen by the workers or depositing it in installments and/or after the term are considered serious infractions.

How to calculate the CTS?

The workers who are entitled to this benefit are those who are subject to the common labor regime of the private sector (Legislative Decree 728), who have been employed for at least one month and work, at least on average, a minimum daily shift of four hours.

They can calculate the amount that they should deposit, entering the web application ‘Labor Calculator’which can be found in the virtual catalog ‘Sunafil Online’accessing the website: www.gob.pe/sunafil. To date, 63,310 people have made 153,102 consultations.

“The application is designed to perform a calculation based on the data that the worker himself enters. This tool may also be used by former workers, in calculating their truncated CTS, as well as by workers of the special labor regime of small companies and domestic workers,” he told Sunafil.
