With an ecologically efficient proposal and a new interior design concept, the Massimo Dutti store from the Inditex group, located in Quicentro Shopping in Quito, reopened its doors this week.

The renovated store with a total area of 794.77 square meters is aligned with the most advanced concept of eco-efficiency, the brand reported, noting that electricity consumption was reduced by 30 percent and water consumption by 40 percent compared to conventional stores. The company also added that the environmental efficiency measures implemented include a lighting system in stores that optimizes furniture lighting and the exclusive use of LED bulbs.

This new lighting system also enables partial lighting of the space, depending on the time of day and the tasks to be performed, as well as automatic switching on when movement is detected in the staff areas.

Meanwhile, air-conditioning is achieved by means of a ventilation control that varies according to the occupancy of the space, calculated by means of a CO2 meter.

The installed equipment uses technology converter, which independently regulates its load capacity based on heating or cooling requirements, constantly adapting to consumption needs. The air curtain is controlled by a sensor with three levels of operation, depending on the internal temperature.

Finally, control and monitoring devices allow remote reading of consumption levels in real time, which makes it possible to detect and correct any anomaly that affects the use of facilities and their energy consumption. In addition, storage areas are provided for material recycling.

Regarding the new interior design proposal, the company said that this new concept expresses the natural evolution of the brand, highlighting its most refined spaces, the presence of interior gardens, structures made with artistic materials and techniques.
