Premier Mirtha Vásquez met with mining entrepreneurs

The president of the Council of Ministers, Mirtha Vásquez, met with representatives of the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy (SNMPE) to resolve the controversies generated around the continuity of the mining projects of Pallancata, Inmaculada and Apumayo, in Ayacucho , which are in the closing process.

Also present at the meeting were members of the Executive, such as the Minister of Energy and Mines, Eduardo Gonzáles, the Minister of the Environment, Rubén Ramírez, and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Francke.

In addition, the president of the Board of Directors of the Environmental Assessment and Enforcement Agency (OEFA), Miriam Alegría Zevallos.

And on the side of the mining companies, the president of the SNMPE, Raúl Jacob, participated, who described the meeting as “a good first step” to continue talking. In addition to the vice president Magaly Bardales, the executive director Pablo de la Flor and José Augusto Palma.

Also present was Ignacio Bustamante, representative of Hochschild Mining, a subsidiary of Ares (of the Inmaculada and Pallancata mining units).
