After Carlos is crowned, Guillermo will kneel before his father and take his hands to pay homage to the royal blood: “I, William, Prince of Wales, I pledge my loyalty to you and I will give you faith and truth, as lord of life and body. So God helped me.”

The prince will also dress his father in a long and shiny robe, one of the clothes the king will wear at the ceremony.

He prince henry, the monarch’s second son, will not have any distinctive role in the ceremony. Although Buckingham Palace has confirmed the Duke of Sussex’s arrival, he will only attend the coronation and immediately return to the United States to celebrate his son Archie’s birthday.
