However, these details are not exclusive to a circle of close family and friends; They have also been extended to corporations that give these presents to their clients or collaborators, which has generated a market for corporate gifts that many companies have been in charge of providing.
Diaries, wine or beer bottles, candy, technology, clothing and many other products and merchandising they are part of the extensive portfolio available from these providers.
One of these companies specializing in corporate gifts is Assemble. Eulomar Marcano, CEO, indicated that for this Christmas season they have more than 50 pre-designed gift options for different categories, from details for collaborators and suppliers to VIP gifts for managers, directors and influencers. Additionally they work with the design of unboxing experience made to measure, in which they create gifts with their clients according to their specifications.
“We have created innovative proposals that respond to different budgets to provide a wide range of options to our corporate clients and adapt to market needs,” said Marcano, adding that they have a portfolio of suppliers of around 25 Ecuadorian companies, which They range from the area of printing, promotional items, packaging and importers.
He assured that the demand for corporate gifts increases in the last quarter of the year by approximately 60%, which is reflected in sales, because in addition to gifts for Christmas and the end of the year, they also put together welcome kits for the beginning of the year. , corporate kits for birthdays of the entire staff of collaborators and other dates.
“This year we have seen an increase in the demand for corporate gifts, companies have adapted to the new normal and have understood the value of bringing warmth and closeness through a gift, due to digital platforms we have managed to accompany them at their events virtual events, celebrate anniversaries, announce launches and of course be their accomplices for Christmas and New Years, ”said the executive, whose main clients are multinational companies, based in Guayaquil and Quito, and medium-sized companies.
Other firms like YES París, a French pastry shop with five years in the market, added this new business axis, that of corporate gifts, which is currently a strong pillar in their growth strategy.
“From the second year, we create a proposal for companies. We saw an interesting niche in the market and little edible offer that is customizable for companies “, he recalled Leá Racca, founder of the firm, who assured that in November and December the monthly sale increases 300 % and that the favorite product of the companies is the personalized sablé, artisan butter biscuits, typical of France, which are personalized with a message or with the company logo.
“It is an interesting product for its duration of 2 months (without preservatives), we deliver it alone or in boxes throughout Ecuador. We also sell macarons personalized and madeleines, famous products from my country ”, commented the French businesswoman, who among her clients has companies such as Gloria Saltos, Siemens, Samsung, various banks, Procan, Zara, Disensa, and more.
Meanwhile, the importance of corporate gifts for companies is highlighted by Carla Rossi, CEO and owner of the CRF Communications Agency, who has also joined the trend of sending gifts to their customers.
“The details that I give to my clients are on special dates, their birthdays and Christmas; also on anniversaries. The theme is to give them a detail, a love of gratitude to people for trusting us, purely sentimental and grateful, it is not promotional, “said Rossi, who assured that for that reason he prefers that his gifts do not carry the logo of his company and always try to look for suppliers that are micro-businesses.
He recalled that on one occasion he hired a Manabi micro-entrepreneur who produced sweets with bitter cocoa, which was very well received. “Also last year we gave away some masks made by a micro-entrepreneur, which had the embroidered name of the clients,” added the businesswoman, who likewise assured that some of her clients have been inclined to these initiatives, although most do focus in brand remembrance. “They obviously want you to use their things and remember them.”

“All our products, starting with (the wine brand) Del Morro, are within the offer to personalize. The minimum is 12 bottles. There is even the option for companies to make their own blend, but the quantities are already higher (at least 400 bottles) and we do it with premium wines ”, commented Wright, who revealed that most of his clients are from companies in Quito and Guayaquil.
