The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) ordered the creation of a “Work Table in charge of proposing specific mechanisms for the promotion and formalization of productive self-employment in decent work conditions.”
Ministerial resolution No. 229-2022-TR establishes that said group must prepare a work plan and a report that contains the proposal of specific mechanisms for the promotion and formalization of productive self-employment.
This sectoral table must also participate in the development of policy guidelines and service model proposals that support productive self-employment, in addition to assuming others that are considered necessary for the fulfillment of its purpose.
The table will have the following ad honorem members, each with their respective alternate:
- The General Director of the General Directorate for Employment Promotion, who chairs it.
- The General Director of the General Labor Directorate.
- The General Director of the General Directorate of Policies for the Promotion of Labor Formalization and Labor Inspection.
- Three representatives of the Unitary Central of Workers of Peru – CUT, accredited, by means of an official letter addressed to the Technical Secretariat, within three business days from the day following the publication of this resolution.
The Technical Secretariat of the Working Group is in charge of the Directorate for Employment Promotion and Self-employment of the General Directorate for Employment Promotion, which provides technical and administrative assistance for the operation and fulfillment of its purpose.
The Working Group, financed by the specifications of the MTPE, is valid for 90 business days from its installation, and must submit its final report within a period of no more than 3 business days from the end of its validity.
